Because the 21700 battery is slightly wider and longer, it has a larger physical volume. That extra space makes a massive difference in performance.

Because 21700 cells are larger, they can hold much more energy.
- A standard 18650 battery typically holds between 2,500mAh to 3,500mAh of capacity.
- A high-quality 21700 battery can easily hold between 4,000mAh to 5,000mAh of capacity.
